This article explains why all users might be getting an Authentication Failure when trying to login to the SenSage AP Analyzer console. This can happen if the SLS/EDW cluster is down/decommissioned because the Analyzer authenticates against the SLS. When the SLS cluster is not up and running, trying to
ping any node gives no response and you will get
No route to host and
Host Unreachable errors.
You can further confirm from the app_manager logs under
<sensage_path>/var/log/controller/app_manager.log that the connection to the SLS cluster is failing.
The solution: Turn on the SLS cluster servers.
Users should then be able to log in to the Analyzer console.
