Overview
Occasionally, you may find that various menus and functions that are expected to be visible are missing from your CEF interface. The same issue does not occur when checking on the Computron G2 Webdesk, or a test environment, if available. Additionally, other users' interfaces seem to work fine.
Solution
When a user logs into the CEF client, the client checks that the user has the latest menus downloaded to the user's PC. These are stored in the following directory:
C:\Documents\Computron\<Host Name or IP Address>\<Port Number>\<Login Id>\MENU\
Occasionally, these menus may become corrupted, so they need to be downloaded again. In order to force a download of the menus to your client machine, you will need to follow these steps:
- Head to
C:\Documents\Computron\<Host Name or IP Address>\<Port Number>\<Login Id>
. - Rename the
menurefreshclient.xml
file to something else, such asmenurefreshclient_old.xml.bak
. - Log in again to the Computron CEF client - after logging back in, the
menurefreshclient.xml
file will be re-created, forcing a download of the menus from the server to your client machine.
This should ensure the interface displays all items as expected.
