Solution
This error occurs when the logged-in user has insufficient permissions to write to the shared Everest reports directory.
The recommended solution is to add the "Everyone" group to be granted File System permissions to Modify the Everest Reports shared directory by following these steps:
- Locate the Everest Reports directory at
%Installdir%\Icode\Everest\Reports\Reports
- Right-click the directory and select Properties
- Go to the Security tab and click the Edit button
- Click on the Add button
- Enter "Everyone" in the object name to be selected
- Click OK
- Put a checkmark to Allow the Modify permission for the Everyone group
- Click OK to save the configuration.
Testing
The user should be able to successfully extract the Crystal Report file from the CZR in Reports Manager.
