Overview

In the pricing analysis, it is stated that only users with adequate security rights will be able to create documents below the configured margins. It appears that this does not work as everyone is able to sell below these margins. Disabling this in the security settings does not solve the issue.

Solution

The security rights in question are the following:

1. Security ID: 329 - Sales Order/Invoice Document: Add/Modify with Markup/Margin below Minimum Level
2. Security ID: 330 - Sales Order/Invoice Document: Add/Modify with Markup/Margin below Critical Level
3. Security ID: 336 - ITEM: Modify Selling Price

To resolve the issue, please follow the steps below:

1. Remove the above security rights from the Everyone group and assign them to the sales group:
   1. Remove the security rights from the Everyone group:
      

      1. From the main menu bar, select File > Setup > Security Rights.
         

      2. In the Security Rights browser, click on the Groups tab and perform the following steps for each security ID mentioned above:

         1. Search for the security ID
         2. If the Everyone group is present in the Groups Assigned panel, select it and click on the (>) button to remove the permissions, or right-click on the group and choose Remove.
            To remove the selected right from all of the groups, click the (>>) button, or right-click and choose Remove All.
   2. Assign the security rights to the Sales group:
      

      1. In the Security Rights browser, click the Groups tab and perform the following steps for each security ID mentioned above:

         1. Search for the security ID
         2. If the Sales group is present in the Groups not assigned panel, select it and click on the (<) button to add the permissions, or right-click on the group and choose Add. 
            To assign the selected right to all of the groups, click the (<<) button, or right-click and choose Add All.
2. Add the specific users to the Sales group and remove them from the Everyone group:
   1. From the main menu bar, select File > Setup > Users > Users belonging to group:
      
      
   2. Select the Sales group.
   3. Select the specific users from the Users not in group panel, and click on the (<) button to add them, or right-click the selection and choose Add.
      To add all the users, click on the (<<) button, or right-click and choose Add All.
   4. Select the Everyone group.
   5. Select the specific users from the Users in group panel, and click on the (>) button to remove them, or right-click the selection and choose Remove.
      To remove all the users, click on the (>>) button, or right-click and choose Remove All.

Testing
