This article explains to publishers in APA (Active Paper Archive), which file names to use when scanning images from paper, For Microfilm Scanning or for PDFs
Information
The source files need to follow a standard naming convention, which differs for file type:
- For Microfilm Scanning, the following naming convention should be used:
- Folder for title: <Title Name>
- Folder for reel: <Reel ID + Start Date YYYY-MM-DD + End Date YYYY-MM-DD >
- Image file for each page: <Page Number>.TIF
- For scanned images from paper, the following naming convention should be used:
- File for each page in title/issue: <Olive Publication ID + Issue Date YYYY-MM-DD + Page Number>.PDF
- File for each page in title/issue: <Olive Publication ID + Issue Date YYYY-MM-DD + Page Number>.PDF
- For PDF, the following naming convention should be used:
- File for title/issue: < Olive Publication ID + Issue Date YYYY-MM-DD >.PDF
