Web Displays

Chute has three display categories: Live, Web, and Custom.

This article provides information on Web Displays.

Custom Display is a display type that is only available by request. It has customized features that are not available on either Live or Web displays. Please contact your Account Manager if you want a Custom Display for your page.

Refer to the article Live Displays for more information.

Web Displays are commonly used to promote your business by embedding the display into your websites through an embed code.

The Web Display types are 360 Video, Banner, Carousel 2, Matrix, Squares, Widget, Slideshow, and Wall.

Things you need to know about Web Displays:

  • Web Displays can be published as a standalone page or can be embedded into a website.
  • The difference between these displays is mostly just how the images are displayed, except for the three types that support E-commerce Matrix, Squares, and Carousel 2.

360 Video
  • This display type supports the 360 video format only.
  • 360-degree videos, also known as immersive videos or spherical videos, are video recordings where a view in every direction is recorded at the same time, using an omnidirectional camera or a collection of cameras.
  • During playback on a normal flat display, the viewer has control of the viewing direction like a panorama.
  • It can also be played on displays or projectors arranged in a cylinder or some part of a sphere.
  • A Banner Display is just a display type that shows assets like banners at the top of the page.
  • You can configure eight banners in a single Banner Display.
Carousel 2
  • Carousel 2 is a Web Display type where assets are arranged in a carousel-type show.
  • You can configure the number of tiles per row, enable Chute branding, enable social links, change asset background color and dimensions, and enable E-commerce, which will include a label to promote products or businesses.
  • This display has the Sharing option that you can enable to include a Share button (share to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook) on the asset that users can click on individually.

  • It also has a Call to Action button, which allows you to insert links to another website you want users to visit.
  • This display type also supports E-commerce.

  • The Wall Display is a type of display that allows multiple contents to be shown on a page in a mural-type show.
