Question

If the auto-failure timeout is increased and the DB is not doing well, does ScaleArc buffer the data coming in or will connections/queries fail?

Answer

By default ScaleArc queues connections/queries that comin if there is no server available to deliever the content to. ScaleArc will keep the connections/queries in queue until the connection has exceeded the max time in queue which is setting in the Cluster settings>Server Settings>Surge Queue Timeout (default setting is 30 seconds).

If the client application connection timeout is less then the 30 second limit then the connection may be terminated at the client layer.
