Tech Illustrator 2015 Update 2 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Tech Illustrator 2015 Update 2.

Summary

This release focuses on enhancing features and fixing issues reported in previous versions, particularly the Tech Illustrator 2014 release and previous TI editions.

New Features

• Support for PolyBezier Elements: The import/export of drawings with PolyBezier elements is now supported, allowing for proper handling of these elements without reducing their fidelity (ATCID-917, ATCID-934, ATCID-936, ATCID-940, ATCID-967, ATCID-966, ATCID-968).
• PDF Export Capabilities: Users can now export all TI-supported formats as PDF through the “Save As” dialog (ATCID-773).
• Remove Duplicated PolyLines Tool: A new utility to remove duplicated elements has been implemented under the Utilities toolbar (ATCID-957).
• S1000D v2.3 CGM Illustration Support: The ability to output CGM illustrations using the S1000D v2.3 standard has been added (ATCID-335).

Bugfixes

• Fixed an issue related to the coding of elliptical arcs that caused precision problems in CGM (ATCID-795).
• Resolved issues where TI produced oversized PS and CGM files (ATCID-917).
• Restored missing font mapping files from the installation directory (ATCID-945).
