Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for EPM Live version 5.6.8.
Summary
This Service Pack contains over 80 bug fixes along with performance-related upgrades. The EPM Live team is committed to providing continued stability and performance improvements.
New Feature
A new feature called Performance Publish has been introduced, which improves the handling of large schedules by submitting task data to a queue rather than sending tasks one at a time.
Updated Interfaces
A Work Queue page has been added to the Utilities section of the navigation, showing jobs running or completed in the last 7 days.
Important Recommendations
Users are encouraged to index both the Project (lookup) and Title fields in Task Center Lists to enhance performance, especially when the number of items exceeds the SharePoint List View Threshold limit.
Bug Fixes
This release addresses numerous issues including:
- Cost Planner: Fixed the 'open to level' setting and resolved issues with duplicate category names causing improper cost placements.
- Build Team: Improved launch process by notifying users when the security job is incomplete.
- HTML Chart Web Part: The legend now updates correctly with pallet changes.
- Notifications: Users will now receive notifications when performance publish jobs begin and end.
- Resource Analyzer: Fixed a display issue with Time Off titles and adjusted access during resource imports.
- Timesheets: Addressed refresh-related issues which caused data visibility problems in the Project Manager view.
- General Enhancements: Validation messages were corrected, unique titles were enforced on system lists, and improved performance on resource loading.
