Tech Illustrator 2015 Update 1 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Tech Illustrator 2015 Update 1.

This release focuses on addressing customer-reported issues while introducing several new features aimed at enhancing usability and functionality.

WebCGM 2.1 Profile Compliance (ATCID-732, 905, 906, 908, 911, 912, 918): Tech Illustrator now outputs CGM files that comply with the WebCGM 2.1 standard, as requested by multiple customers.
Targeted Zoom Mouse Customization (ATCID-835): Two new mouse customization options enable users to control the zoom origin, either from the center of the drawing area or from the current cursor position.
Freehand Drawing Selection (ATCID-885): A new tool allows users to make selections with freehand drawing, facilitating work with irregularly shaped drawings or objects.
Toggle PAN Function for Middle Mouse Button (ATCID-919): Users have the ability to toggle the middle mouse button's functionality between panning and sending an “ENTER” command. Details are provided in the “Mouse Customization Reference.pdf” included with the installation.

The following issues have been resolved in this release:

ATCID-366: Fixed inter-character text spacing issues occurring during multiple saves of CGM files.
ATCID-833: Resolved a display glitch that made text illegible within WebCGM hotspots.
ATCID-856: Corrected an issue where the “Replace filename?” dialog appeared incorrectly when saving a new file.
ATCID-901: Fixed the issue of pop-up menus appearing on the incorrect monitor in multiple-monitor configurations.
