ObjectStore Standard 2019.6 (2013.0 Update 20) Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the ObjectStore Standard 2019.6 (2013.0 Update 20).

Summary

This release serves as a scheduled maintenance update that includes several general improvements and bug fixes aimed at enhancing performance and security.

General Improvements

• OSCID-37675: Upgraded third-party libraries to remove security vulnerabilities:
• libexpat upgraded to 2.2.7
• Jetty upgraded to 9.2.8
• Restlet upgraded to 2.3.12
• Oracle Java JRE 7 replaced with OpenJDK Java 8
• OSCID-37663: Updated default permissions for the /tmp directory to improve security, changing permissions of /tmp/oss_out from 0666 to 0660.

Bug Fixes

• OSCID-37653: Resolved multiple bugs impacting the SubList functionality of the OSVector class.

Known Issues

• Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 will be discontinued after December 31, 2020.
• Databases exceeding 1 TB may cause server crashes and potential data loss.
• Indexed cursor iteration order inconsistencies may occur with multiple inheritances.
• New architectures introduced may cause compatibility issues unless addressed with provided architecture definition files.
