Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for the Acorn PA5G AAA 2020.1.
Summary
The main changes in this release include a complete rewrite of the UI components to modern standards, replacing the outdated Silverlight technology, and addressing several important bug fixes.
New Features
- Grid Component Rewrite to modern technologies for user interface improvements.
- User Interface components have been completely rewritten for the screens utilizing the Grid and other widgets.
- Diagram Component has been also updated, leading to enhanced visualization capabilities.
Resolved Issues
Numerous issues have been resolved, including:
- Default Size for existing Attribute definitions String type changed from null to 50.
- Improvements in installer functionality to create versioned Start menu items.
- Resolved display issues in General Ledger Assigments and Error messages in Transactions.
Release Details
New Features
The following new features have been implemented:
- ACID-27752: Rewrite of the Grid Component - A major transition to a fully functional grid component mitigating future dependencies on Silverlight.
- ACID-26847: UI Rewrite for screens that use Grid components - Major screens have been rewritten using Angular.
- ACID-28040: Diagram Component Rewrite - Enhancements for diagrams utilized in the application.
Resolved Issues
The following issues have been addressed:
- ACID-23525: Ensured that the Default Size for existing Attribute definitions for String type is accurately set.
- ACID-25353: Installer updates to create correctly versioned Start menu items.
- ACID-24376: Updated the General Ledger Assignments to display percentage values accurately.
- ACID-23339: Error messages for duplicate Global IDs to be effectively displayed.
Upgrade and Installation Notes
Ensure that the Microsoft SQL Server versions used are compliant with the requirements specified in this release. The installation procedure has been updated to allow better onboarding and minimize errors during setup, including structure validations and permission directives.
Known Issues
Some challenges persist, including issues with data mixing between corporate and facility costs which may yield erroneous results. Automated retry mechanisms during connectivity drops are also pending resolution.
