Summary

The Infobright DB 4.9.3 release, dated August 25, 2017, introduces several enhancements and fixes to improve the stability and usability of the product.

Features

• Added support for Debian 8 platform (INFOBRIGHT-1347).
• Automatic copying of infobright.cnf.sample to infobright.cnf on a new install (INFOBRIGHT-1231).
• Implemented ICM tests to ensure the number of rows in DPN is consistent with the actual number of rows stored (INFOBRIGHT-1313).
• Logging of hardware, OS, and timezone settings to infobright.log on startup (INFOBRIGHT-1317).
• Version information logging to the information log on startup (INFOBRIGHT-1325).

Bug Fixes

• Resolved server crashes when shutting down with mysqladmin (INFOBRIGHT-819).
• Fixed incorrect results when using the ‘greatest’ function with the division operator (INFOBRIGHT-821).
• Improved handling of net_read_timeout and closed client connections (INFOBRIGHT-910).
• Addressed false positives on KN checks for rolling delete scenarios (INFOBRIGHT-914).
• Ensured libibmysqlclient is installed in the library search path on Debian/Ubuntu (INFOBRIGHT-915).
• Fixed an internal error occurring with queries on very large tables (INFOBRIGHT-893).
• Resolved ICM crashes during full checks on specific scenarios (INFOBRIGHT-911).
