CORT Classic Payroll Version 8.5 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the CORT Classic Payroll version 8.5.

Summary

This August update includes significant enhancements such as state tax updates and various bug fixes aimed at improving system performance and reliability.

Features

The key enhancements in this release are:

• North Dakota State Tax Updates: Implements the new North Dakota state tax rates based on the June 2015 state tax notification.
• Connecticut State Tax Rate Changes: Introduces new tax rates for Connecticut state which are effective from January 1, 2015.

Bugfixes

This release also addresses several bugs, including:

• Fixed an issue with hourly rates not displaying correctly based on effective dates.
• Resolved a problem where truncated last names would interrupt processing changes, by increasing the maximum name length from 30 to 256 characters.
• Corrected the issue whereby NewHire data was not transferring from HR to Payroll, ensuring proper restoration of employee data.
