Infobright DLP 4.8.0p1 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Infobright DLP 4.8.0p1.

Summary

This release includes important updates, including new licensing requirements, logging improvements, and a number of component renames.

Features

  • DLP License Requirement: Every instance of DLP now requires a valid license file called infobright.lic, located in the installation directory. Users must contact Infobright Support to obtain a license.
  • Logging Enhancements: Improved logging capabilities with logs now directed to dlp.log, replacing the obsolete dataprocessor.log. Users can adjust the log output by modifying the new log-level DLP option.
  • Component Rename: The DLP binary has been renamed from dataprocessor to dlp. The configuration file has also changed from .dataprocessorrc to dlp.cnf.
  • Supported Platforms: This version supports RHEL and CentOS 7.x 64-bit, in addition to other existing platforms.

Bug Fixes

  • Crash Resolution: Resolved an issue where using the command DLP -X could cause a crash when processing data longer than the PostgreSQL statement_timeout.
  • Logging Improvements: Added specific logging of column names when attempting to insert NULL values into NOT NULL columns.
  • DLP Terminology Updates: All instances of the dataprocessor binary are now renamed to dlp.
  • Windows Installation Prerequisites: Users must ensure that the Microsoft Visual C++ runtime components are installed for Windows installations.
