ObjectStore 2013 Update 7 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the ObjectStore 2013 Update 7.

Summary

The main changes include several bug fixes, enhancements, and optimizations to improve the performance and usability of the ObjectStore platform.

New Features

• Support for OpenAccess 8.0: Added support for the latest OpenAccess version in the OAOSCI library.
• Enhanced User Links: DSA screens now direct to a progressive support URL.
• Embed ObjectStore: Ability to embed ObjectStore components into customer software installers has been introduced.
• Timestamp Saving: Functionality for timestamp saving in the comseq for counter value updates is added, beneficial for enterprise monitoring tools.

Major Bug Fixes

• Setup Script Fix: The installation script (setup.bat) for OSJI has been fixed to prevent exceptions during execution.
• Memory Management Improvements: Resolved server crashes due to out-of-memory errors and improved thread management.
• OS Set Functionality: Fixed issues with os_set instances to ensure proper operation after transitioning from a 32-bit to a 64-bit environment.
• Database Copy Management: Corrected the behavior of the os_dbutil::copy_database function.
