CORT Classic Payroll V8.5 November Update Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the CORT Classic Payroll V8.5.

Summary

This release contains important updates, including bug fixes, enhancements to features, and support for new components. Below are the details of the changes made in the November 2015 update.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved:

  • NVPCID-503: Fixed an error message that appeared when selecting an employee for transfer in the Transfer Employee utility.
  • NVPCID-504: Corrected the string size for storing PRCTLPP table ID to match the latest database version, resolving processing issues.
  • NVPCID-518: Updated logic so that the Anniversary/Seniority Date is no longer auto-populated with the Hire Date when not specified.
  • NVPCID-513: Disabled empty menu items from displaying in the YTD Register reports.
  • NVPCID-453: Aligned the Integration Utility tool to process user-defined field records correctly after a change in the database structure.
  • NVPCID-500: Ensured all employee number IDs are handled correctly in State History Type reports.

Enhancements

Several enhancements have been implemented:

  • NVPCID-456: Added the 2016 California State Income Tax rates.
  • NVPCID-494: New W2 form for 2015 has been added, with no changes to the fields in the report.
  • NVPCID-531: Created and added the 2015 W2 instructions document to the application.
  • NVPCID-532: Included the 2015 FUTA 940 form.
  • NVPCID-533: Added the 2015 940 Schedule A and 940 Worksheet.
