Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for the Infobright IEE-Postgres version 4.7.1-p3.
Summary
This release includes several enhancements and bug fixes aimed at improving the overall performance and stability of the IEE-Postgres product.
Features
- Supporting multiple platforms including RHEL, CentOS, Debian, Suse, and Windows.
- Updated installation packages are now available in RPM, DEB, and .exe formats.
- Enhanced memory settings optimization based on system's physical memory.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved a crash issue in IBEngine when selecting data from a datapack column containing mixed empty and non-empty strings (Issue IDs: DE3457, DE3486).
- General performance improvements across the platform.
Installation Instructions
General Installation
For installation or upgrade instructions, refer to the most recent User Guides for IEE-Postgres. The default installation paths are recommended to improve performance.
Windows Installation
Follow these steps to install on Windows:
- Log into the Customer Portal and download the zipped install package.
- Unzip the package and double-click the .exe file to begin installation.
- Configure the installation settings as required.
Linux Installation
For Linux installations, use the following commands:
rpm -i infobright-iee_postgres--.rpm
Root access is required.
Upgrade Instructions
To upgrade IEE on both Windows and Linux platforms, simply run the installation command. Existing configuration settings and data will not be altered during the upgrade process.
