We are happy to share the release notes for the Infobright IEE-Postgres version 4.8.0p1.

Key Enhancements

• License Requirement: Every instance now requires a valid license file.
• Configuration Changes: Overrides to Infobright parameters must now be specified in the new infobright.cnf file instead of the deprecated files .infobright and brighthouse.ini.
• Logging Enhancements: Infobright logging content has been improved, and logs are now consolidated into infobright.log with added log rotation functionality.
• Component Renaming: The Infobright Engine is now referred to simply as infobright. The Domain Expert has been renamed to Column Optimizer, and Dimension columns are now Lookup columns.
• Platform Support: Added support for RHEL and CentOS 7.x 64-bit.
• Memory Management Improvements: Enhanced algorithms for managing memory and reducing fragmentation have been implemented.
• Query Accuracy Enhancements: Numerous query-related issues have been resolved for improved correctness.
• Performance Improvements: Changes to the internal multi-index structure and flushing algorithms for improved performance.

• Resolved issues causing abnormal crashes under specific conditions.
