Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for the ObjectStore Standard 2019.1 (2013.0 update 15).
Summary
This release is primarily a maintenance update that introduces support for recent versions of Visual Studio and addresses several customer-reported defects and internal issues.
Features
- Support for Visual Studio 2015 and 2017.
- Resolution of key defects including false version numbers in the Service Manager and security issues with directory permissions.
- Improvements to stability by addressing memory leaks and enhancing concurrency handling in the Cache Manager.
Bugfixes
- OSCID-33144: Fixed incorrect version numbers displayed in Service Manager.
- OSCID-36409: Changed permissions for the /tmp/ostore directory from 777 to 775 for security.
- OSCID-35360: Fixed occasional crashes of the Cache Manager through code improvements.
- OSCID-34793: Resolved memory leaks across various ObjectStore libraries.

- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4, 6.6, and 7.
Known Issues
- Database size issues: Databases growing beyond 1 TB can lead to server crashes and potential data loss.
- Indexing issues: Problems with cursor iteration order in virtual inheritance scenarios.
- Modern C++ feature limitations in ObjectStore contexts, including C++11 and later functionalities.
