Tech Illustrator 2014 Update 2 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Tech Illustrator 2014 Update 2.

Summary

The main focus of this update is to resolve issues reported by customers from the previous version 2014 Update 1 and earlier releases such as TI Plus, TI PE, and TI Express.

Features

• Multiple Version Support: Users can now install multiple versions of Tech Illustrator on a single computer (ATCID-873).
• File Association Utility (FAT): This new utility allows users to manage file associations for TI-supported files, enabling them to modify or delete existing associations and create new ones with specific versions of Tech Illustrator (ATCID-874).
• Mouse Customization: Enhanced customization options for mouse controls with a centralized configuration file. Users can now customize mouse actions for zoom and scroll functions (ATCID-880 and ATCID-802).

Bug Fixes

This update includes fixes for several customer-reported issues:

• Polygon color fills display correctly in 3D View (ATCID-836).
• EPS files are correctly associated with GsView32.exe (ATCID-878).
• Modified toolbar buttons work for Tech Illustrator Plus and PE (ATCID-882).
• The hand cursor issue with Auto SPIM key has been resolved (ATCID-886).
• Random crashes during file operations have been fixed (ATCID-889).
• Hatch visibility restored for CGM files from third-party applications (ATCID-895).
