Performance Analyzer 5G and Acorn AAA 2023.1 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Performance Analyzer 5G (PA5G) and Acorn Advanced Analytics (AAA) 2023.1.

Summary

This release includes various improvements and resolved issues aimed at enhancing the stability and performance of the applications.

New Features

The update introduces a fix for the GL Assignments template download error regarding decimal values.

Resolved Issues

  • ACID-42916: Fixed an issue where downloading the GL Assignments template led to a "Value was either too large or too small for a Decimal" error.

Upgrade and Installation Notes

Important instructions for upgrading and installation are as follows:

Microsoft SQL Port Changes

Ensure to open TCP port 1433 for SQL Server connections. A random client source port between 1024 and 5000 must also be permitted.

Database Compatibility Level

The PA5G database Compatibility Level must be set to 'SQL Server 2016 (130)'.

Installer Package Instructions

  • Unzip the PA5G installer package before running setup.exe.
  • Ensure that both installers are run with elevated permissions.

Best Practices during Upgrade

Follow recommended practices to validate the upgraded databases and ensure a proper migration from the older version to the new target version.

Known Issues

Users may experience odd results in cost allocations and deadlock errors during AAA Load&Process. Further recommendations are provided in the release notes.
