Release Notes for Gensym G2 Version 2023.2

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Gensym G2 2023.2.

Summary

The main changes in this release include the introduction of the G2 OPC UA bridge and improvements in product quality with some internal fixes. There is one customer-reported issue that has been addressed from the previous release.

Features

This release officially adds support for the OPC UA (Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture) both on Windows and Linux platforms. The bridge is available in a separate archive on the IgniteTech Release Portal.

Bug Fixes

One bug fix was implemented in response to customer feedback: the issue with gray patches occurring during drag operations in the TWNG has been resolved by improving message handling.

Release Details

This update is for both Standard and Enterprise editions of G2 2023, which was released as a public release on June 30, 2023. Customers who have active subscriptions need to obtain new license files as older versions are not compatible with this release.
