Summary

The Gensym G2 2023.1 update is the first release of the new major edition of the G2 platform. It includes essential updates as well as important bug fixes aimed at improving overall product quality.

Bugfixes

The following issues have been identified and resolved:

• GENSYMCID-13124: Windows DCOM Server Security Feature Bypass - Modified G2 OPC bridge to comply with Microsoft DCOM security requirements.
• GENSYMCID-13156: Screen flickers during operations - Removed unnecessary screen redraws in TWNG.
• GENSYMCID-13165: Process limit incorrectly enforced for Linux G2 Enterprise version - Issue fixed, allowing unlimited G2 process starts for Enterprise users.
• GENSYMCID-13166: TWng Gray Screen Issue - Degraded drawing gracefully in case of mismatched color depths on device contexts.
• GENSYMCID-13175: G2 crashes when floating license limit is reached - Fixed race condition in TW connection code.

Licensing Changes

Important note: Old G2 license files (for versions prior to 2023) will not work with this version. Customers are advised to contact support for obtaining a new license file if they have an active subscription.
