Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for the Gensym G2 2022.1.
Summary
The Gensym G2 2022.1 update is the first release of the new major edition of the G2 platform. This version includes enhancements, bug fixes, and some licensing changes that users should be aware of.
New Features
Gensym G2 2022 comes in two editions: Standard (STD32 & STD64) and Enterprise (ENT), both of which now include enhanced capabilities for real-time processing and improved reliability.
Bug Fixes
This release addresses five customer-identified issues that were reported since the last major release, as well as other internal fixes aimed at improving product quality.
Changes in Release
The Gensym G2 2022.1 update includes fixes for:
- Unused variable detection algorithm
- Automatic deletion of spaces
- Long loading times of the text editor for large tables
- Errors generated for symbolic attributes receiving the symbol NONE
- Color corruption issues in the properties window
Licensing Changes
Please note that older G2 license files from previous versions (2015, 2018, etc.) will not work with this new version. Users with active subscriptions are advised to request a new license file from our support team.

- GENSYMCID-13137: Fixed an error generated by rules when receiving the symbol NONE.
- GENSYMCID-13138: Corrected color corruption when closing the properties window.
