Acorn PA5G and AAA Version 2021.2 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Acorn PA5G and AAA version 2021.2.

Release Overview

Ignite is excited to announce the Acorn PA5G/AAA 2021.2 release for our customers. With this release, we continue improvement towards our objectives of high quality, high-stability releases that are meaningful to our customers. We have identified and fixed many issues through our internal testing processes. We encourage you to upgrade to the latest version in order to take advantage of the improvements.

  • Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019
  • .NET Framework: v4.6.2
  • Client Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari (latest versions)

Release Summary

New Features

The following features have been implemented in this release:

  • Validating models for multiple scenarios is now supported.
  • Improved subtotal calculations in AAA Statements.
  • User interface improvements for better user experiences.

Resolved Issues

Several issues have been resolved:

  • Fixed an issue where "Validate Model" was not possible for multiple scenarios (ID: ACID-37329).
  • Corrected mismatched subtotal calculations in AAA Statements (ID: ACID-37325).
  • Addressed display issue showing assignment percentages incorrectly (ID: ACID-37729).
  • Enabled the delete button in the Users - Manage Groups section properly (ID: ACID-37794).
  • Increased character limit for General Ledger Account ID and Name from 60 to 100 (ID: ACID-37654).
  • Calculation Duration format issue was fixed to display hours, minutes, and seconds (ID: ACID-37126).
  • UI issues including logo and favicon updates were addressed (ID: ACID-37179).
  • Resolved display issues regarding Start Date in the Load and Process section (ID: ACID-37181).

Upgrade and Installation Notes

Upgrading to this version requires the following:

  • Ensure the PA5G database Compatibility Level is set to “SQL Server 2016 (130).”
  • Follow proper installation procedures, including unzipping the installer package and running it with elevated permissions.
  • Open necessary ports for Microsoft SQL Server 2016 within the firewall.

Known Issues

Users should be aware of the following known issues:

  • Odd results in cost allocations can occur when corporate and facility costs are mixed within a single process.
  • AAA Load&Process may fail with a deadlock error under certain conditions.
