Gensym G2 Version 2021.5 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the Gensym G2 version 2021.5.

Summary

The Gensym G2 version 2021.5 includes multiple bug fixes and a product enhancement aimed at improving overall product quality. This update addresses nine identified issues and introduces one enhancement.

New Features

One significant enhancement has been implemented:

• g2-unmarshal-json-param-case: A new system procedure to convert camelCase to param-case in JSON keys, enhancing JSON parsing capabilities.

Bug Fixes

The following issues have been resolved in this release:

• GENSYMCID-12755: Fixed the incorrect calculation of coordinates resulting in a red vertical bar on trend charts.
• GENSYMCID-12765: Adjusted autorange to display two plots correctly, even when one is constant.
• GENSYMCID-13079: Prevented crashes in the g2-change-size-of-item-per-area function due to zero division errors.
• GENSYMCID-13090: Resolved segmentation fault caused by background color specification in dialog.
• GENSYMCID-13114: Corrected validation for the g2-set-text-of-trend-chart-component to manage zero values properly.
• GENSYMCID-13117: Fixed initialization issues with checkbox states in grid views.
• GENSYMCID-13120: Enhanced performance of g2-send-web-request by caching DNS lookup results.
• GENSYMCID-13123: Reduced latency when interacting with the G2 HTTP server by ensuring server sockets close promptly.
• GENSYMCID-13128: Addressed TWNG crashes caused by incorrectly setting selected elements for empty drop-down lists.

Licensing Changes

It is important to note that the G2 server will shut down the following day after the license expires, which customers should keep in mind for license management.
