Overview
When generating a General Ledger (GL) transaction posting summary report, users may encounter balances (total debits and credits) being displayed as ##############.## instead of the actual numerical values.
Information
This issue may occur due to one of the following reasons:
- Exceeded Numerical Limit - The report field width is insufficient to display numbers greater than 99999999999.99. In such cases, the report displays ##############.## to indicate that the value exceeds the maximum allowable display size.
- No Transactions Meeting Report Criteria - The issue may also arise if no transactions match the criteria specified in the report filters. In such instances, the totals may be empty, and the system displays ##############.## as a placeholder.
Recommended Actions
To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:
- Verify Transaction Amounts - Check whether the values in your report exceed 99999999999.99. If yes, there may be a mistake in one of the transactions since the number is quite large (doublecheck that the related transactions have correct values or select a shorter time frame to generate the report).
- Check Report Criteria - Ensure that the report criteria (filters) are correctly configured, and that there are transactions that meet the specified conditions.
Further Assistance
If the issue persists after performing these checks, please contact support for additional investigation. Be sure to provide details such as the report type, the exact criteria used, and any relevant examples or screenshots.
